NCAA/NAIA

Prospective College Athletes need to consider registering for the NCAA and/or NAIA clearinghouses beginning in the sophomore or junior year.  Please see Counselor Jay Ashlock if you have questions about how to become eligible to play sports in college.  Students looking for athletic scholarships need to speak with the high school coach and ask him/her to speak with the college coach.  Your school counselor will certainly assist with needed areas such as requesting transcripts, recommendation letters, and other issues related to college admissions; however, college coaches/recruiters often tell us they prefer to talk with the high school coach about potential athletes instead of the school counselor.
