Selection Criteria

The Scholarship is open to all students attending Dalton High School regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, age, or veteran status with the following

restrictions:

1. The Scholarship will be available to a senior-level student who are currently enrolled or have been admitted to an Associate Degree or a Bachelor Degree program of study at an accredited University.

2. Applicants' financial need may be a factor.

3. The recipient of the Scholarship will have attained and will maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.

4. The recipient of the Scholarship will maintain full-time enrollment status.

5. With all other factors being equal, preference will be given to applicants who

are athletes.

6. Applicants will demonstrate a record of community service in the application essay and/or in the letters of recommendation.
